About

My Story

I spent ten years building systems at the edge of technology — most recently at Meta's AI research lab, and before that in New York's fast-paced hedge fund industry. But my soul could not refuse the call for something deeper.

I grew up between two worlds: South Asian roots, Western upbringing. One gave me reverence and tradition. The other gave me rigor and the scientific method. For a long time those worldviews ran in parallel. Yoga is where they finally converged.

In 2023, I left the industry and committed fully to practice. The Ashtanga primary and secondary series, anatomy and connective tissue training, qigong teacher certification, free diving certification, and deep somatic and nervous system work. I wanted to understand the human experience from the inside out.

My Approach

I think like a scientist. I teach the same way — following what I observe, questioning what I've been told, drawing from multiple traditions because no single lineage has the complete picture.

I believe yoga is not a performance. My classes are slow, deliberate, and breath-led. We spend time in transitions, not just poses. I ask students to notice what's happening inside — sensations, resistance, ease — rather than chasing an aesthetic shape. The nervous system learns through repetition in safety, not urgency.

My Philosophy

The body knows things the mind hasn't caught up to yet. My philosophy is simple: show up, pay attention, and trust the process. There is no advanced practitioner — only a more practiced beginner.

The body also holds our stories. The narratives we carry — about safety, about belonging, about what we're capable of — organize our posture and our fascia without our knowing. Move the body and the story shifts. Update the story and the body follows. That feedback loop is what I'm teaching.
